Philips (Anh) and Hostetter (Por) win Rookie of the Year Award
Anaheim's Edward Philips was
almost in tears when he heard the news. The 23 year
old third baseman was named the Rookie of the Year
Award winner in the American League today. What a way
to begin a career! Edward has gone 168 for 621 (.271)
this season, hitting 22 bombs and driving in 114 runs.
He has scored 92 runs on his own. Daniel
Hostetter will never forget his first full season.
The National League was convinced that Portland's leftfielder,
24 years old, should be the Rookie of the Year Award
winner of 2071. Hostetter has hit for a .309 average
this season. He has 62 extra base hits along with 304
total bases, resulting in a .514 slugging percentage.
